After months of thinking about it and talking about it I’m ready to officially launch my video conversion business! I’ve spent much of my life doing photo and video related projects, and over the course of the last year or so I’ve taken to converting old VHS movies to something more modern.

I’ve now converted over 100 videos for friends and family, and I’m ready to expand my reach further. To be fair, the process isn’t super hard, but you do need to have some equipment, expertise, and time to convert videos. The biggest piece of the process is the time to capture the video off of your tapes. A two hour tape takes two hours to transfer to a computer.

My current setup is straightforward enough – I have a few VCRs and the ability to capture the video into a computer. Even my tech friends who could easily do this prefer to have someone else do it.

So, it’s time to officially launch this business. Let’s go!
